Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Audrey McGuire and I am the very proud owner of Valentinos Candelabras (my Chiwawa dog, Valentino, being the namesake) and equally proud mum to my lovely singer/songwriter daughter, Jessica I spent 15 years living and working in South Africa and returned to the UK about 5 years ago.
What is your business?
My main business focus is the hire of beautiful Table Top and Floor Standing Candelabras, which are available ready-decorated or ‘naked’ for Brides’ own florists to dress.
What inspired you to start your business?
I was inspired to start my business as an outlet for my creative spirit, and being a stickler for detail meant I could present the Candelabras with many different looks I don’t apply a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to my clients.
What sets your business apart from the rest?
I love nothing more than tailoring a unique look for my Brides. I am a perfectionist and wouldn’t dream of offering Brides anything less ! It is just so rewarding !
What do you love about your job?
To be entrusted with being a part of such an important and emotional day is just a privilege.
Have you ever had an unusual request from a bride?
…Ummmmm…. when YOU are the Bride, who’s to say WHAT is unusual ?!
What is your best selling product/service?
The unique aspect of my business is that Candelabras form the major part, which means I carry significant stock and can therefore cater to several events simultaneously without having to turn Brides away.
What advice can you offer brides planning their wedding?
A beautifully decorated Reception Room that will amaze your guests – don’t be shy to put your own ideas forward ! With a Bride’s wishes and her Wedding Supplier’s ingenuity – anything is possible.
