Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Rachel I am married to Andy and we have 2 wonderful children aged 13 and 15, we live in Boston Lincolnshire.
What is your business?
Myself and my mum Gill are directors of a venue decor company, we cater for weddings, birthday parties, christenings, vow renewals and corporate events.
What inspired you to start your business?
After planning and creating all items for my own wedding I felt that this is what I wanted to do as a career full time, so it started out as just helping a few friends out with their weddings and progressed rapidly so EventExquisite Ltd was born.
What sets your business apart from the rest?
Our customer service is exceptional,attention to detail is second to none and we listen to what our clients would like and embrace their vision for how they would like their very special day to look and work very closely with them to achieve their dream day.
What do you love best about your job?
All my team love transforming venues from something plain to something EXQUISITE. I personally love the client relations and helping my clients any way I can and providing what they want.
Have you ever had an unusual request from a bride?
Not as yet but would certainly accept a challenge.
What is your best selling product/service?
Our best selling products are chair covers and sashes, twinkling backdrop system, candy cart, wishing well.
What advice can you offer brides planning their wedding?
My advice would be to brides planning their special day is to do your homework on companies you may wish to use, don’t be afraid to ask questions, be totally happy with the company/person you are dealing with, can you get along with them?
Do they listen to your ideas? speak to previous clients on their experiences with the company. But above all of this just enjoy planning your big day, it should be fun and exciting.
